How long does it take to build a pool?
That depends on several variables, including the size of the pool, the landscape and the time of year. Most of our jobs take 4 to 5 weeks to complete. The permitting process can extend the project time (start of construction) depending on the city or county you live in.

Will a pool fit in my backyard?
The pool size can be customized to fit most if not all backyard spaces. The beauty of in ground gunite swimming pools and spas are that they can be any shape or size.

What about permits? What do they cost and how long do they take to get?
We take care of the permit process for you. The permit process can take 1-3 weeks, depending on where you live. The cost is also dependent on where you live.​

What about HOA Approval?
We work with you on the HOA paperwork providing you with all necessary documentation needed for approval. This process varies but normally takes 2-3 weeks.

Do shallow pools costs less than deeper ones? What about shape?
Short answer, yes. Shallow pools require less steel, less concrete, etc.

What is the best time of year to build a new pool?
We are fortunate in the Montgomery Area to be able to do swimming pool construction year round.

Should I build my pool before or after I complete building my new home?
Building the pool in conjunction with the home typically works well. There are no drawbacks to building at the same time.

Do you offer financing on your pools?
Sun Source Pools does not offer financing, however, we work with several financing company’s that can assist you in that process.

Are there warranties offered on pools?
We offer the most comprehensive warranty in the swimming pool industry.  The structural warranty is a lifetime warranty and the equipment is a three year manufacturer warranty.

Do you build diving boards or slides?
Absolutely. We also install diving rocks and rock slides if this is a component of your design scheme. Sun Source Pools will make sure that the pool depth, length and width is to code to safely incorporate a diving board or slide.

What is gunite?
Gunite is a type of concrete used in many applications, including swimming pools, tunnels, bridges, etc.

What is coping?
The top edge or perimeter of the pool, approximately 12 in wide and typically a masonry product such as natural stone, brick or pre-cast stone.

Can you repair pools, replaster, add steps, etc?
Yes we take care of remodeling and repairs and we can get you in touch with an estimator.
